European Union (EU) legislation provides guidelines for the production, storage and delivery of pharmaceutical products from the manufacturer to the patient. These guidelines are described in the Good Distribution Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines, which are minimum standards for companies that distribute and manufacture medicines. All pharmaceutical companies are subject to regular inspections by both local state regulatory authorities and representatives of the pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition to external audits, our company carries out self-monitoring measures to maintain and continuously improve the performance of the organization, maintain the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and ISO standards for medicines.
Oribalt has long history of operating in three Baltic countries. Finnish based pharmaceutical wholesaler Oriola opened companies in early 90’s. Oriola Tallinn in 1992, Oriola Vilnius and Oriola Riga were opened in 1993. All companies soon got pharmaceutical wholesale licenses and started businesses as pharmaceutical wholesalers.
Baltic wide logistic services were started in year 2004 after Baltic countries joined EU, and it became beneficial for our customers to have one storage place in the area and started to serve our customers Baltic wide from one location.
Online pharmacy InternetAptieka started its business in Riga year 2013 and became a success from the first years. Currently our online pharmacy business covers all three countries and is an essential part of Oribalt Group.
Oribalt Group was established year 2017 and by an MBO it purchased the legal entities from Oriola on same year. Company names were changed to Oribalt in the beginning of 2018.
Since change of ownership Oribalt has invested on growth and we have moved to larger and more modern facilities in all countries, in Estonia 2019, in Lithuania 2020 and in Latvia 2021.
Today Oribalt is well known and trusted service partner for pharmaceutical industry, a strong player in pharmaceutical wholesale and -marketing and growing entity in online pharmacy business.
